About battery boost
Cold is hard on batteries. On an Edmonton morning at -30°C or colder, a battery that was fine yesterday can leave you with a slow crank, a click or nothing at all. A boost is usually the quickest way to get going again.
We come to wherever your vehicle is: your driveway, a parking lot or the side of the road. We connect to your battery, start the vehicle and make sure it's running before we leave.
A boost gets you started, but it doesn't fix a battery that's failing or a charging problem. If your vehicle dies again soon after, or won't start even with a boost, the problem may be something else. In that case we can tow it to your mechanic.
After a boost, drive for a while before you switch the engine off, so the battery has a chance to recharge. Then have the battery and charging system checked, especially before the coldest part of winter.

How do I know it's the battery?
Clicking, a slow crank, dim lights or no power at all usually point to the battery. If the engine cranks normally but won't start, it's probably something else. Tell us what you hear when you call.
Will a boost fix my battery?
No. A boost starts the vehicle, but it doesn't repair a failing battery or a charging problem. If the battery keeps dying, have it tested.
What if the boost doesn't work?
We can tow your vehicle to your mechanic or home, with the price in writing before we hook up. If a boost doesn't work, the problem is likely more than a flat battery.
