Towrescue Privacy Policy

Towrescue (Tow & Rescue Ltd, "we", "us") collects only the personal information we need to help you on the road and run our business. We follow Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
- Your name, phone number and email address.
- Where you and your vehicle are, and where you want it taken.
- Vehicle details, such as make, model, colour and plate number.
- Service, payment and invoice details.
- Call recordings and text messages when you contact us.
- Basic website data, such as pages visited and how you found us, collected through cookies and similar tools.
Why we collect it
- To dispatch a truck and complete the service you asked for.
- To invoice you and keep business and tax records.
- To follow up about your service, including a text asking for a review.
- To work with your insurer, a repair shop or a roadside program when your service needs it.
- To understand how people find our website and to improve our marketing.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run our business, such as our marketing agency (Foundystack) and our website hosting, phone, text-message, AI answering, form and payment providers.
- Your insurer, a repair shop or a roadside program, when needed for your service.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Service providers outside Canada
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. Website, cookies and analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics to understand visits and how people find us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Text messages
After a job, we may text you to ask for a review, with one reminder at most. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.
How long we keep it
We keep job and invoice records for as long as tax law requires, generally 6 years. We keep call recordings for up to 90 days unless they are needed for a dispute or claim. We delete other information when we no longer need it.
How we protect it
Access is limited to staff and providers who need it, with secure passwords and two-factor sign-in.
Your rights
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or stop receiving texts. We will respond within 45 days, as PIPA requires.
